You can sign up to receive Amber Alert text messages on your wireless phone for free if your carrier participates in the service (most of them around here do). The website to sign up is wirelessamberalerts.org. Check the Partners link to see if your carrier pariticipates, and the FAQ for Frequently Asked Questions regarding the service.

Kathy Yates told me about the Citizen Observer Website where individuals can sign up as can watch groups. Notifications and information is sent of crimes in our area via email, text message, or however you choose. This would be an added benefit to our neighborhood watch-especially when things happen prior to news time.

If you are unable to attend the meetings and would like to join the Neighborhood Association, print the membership form and drop it in the mail.
If you're being overrun by Mosquitos, call Tulsa County Health Department’s Mosquito Complaint Line at 595-4219 and ask for spraying in Sheridan Valley. This program is complaint driven, so the more people to call, the quicker you’ll get action.

Don't panic and run for your magnifying glass when you open the map and see all that tiny print! Once you zoom in to 600% it's big print and very easy to read.
If you see a street light in the neighborhood that is not working, PSO's website has a form you can submit online to report it. You will need the house address closest to the light in order to report it. Under "Report Trouble" on the main page, select "Report a streetlight problem".
The Tulsa City Council and Mayor Kathy Taylor will host a series of town hall public meetings concerning street improvements that voters in the City of Tulsa will consider in an election this summer. All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

The Tulsa City Council will consider the package during its Thursday evening Council meetings, and discuss the details of the package at Tuesday morning committee meetings. Council meeting schedules are available online at www.cityoftulsa.org.
A date for the election has not yet been set.
